Jewellery Care Guide
To help your jewellery pieces preserve their beauty, shine, and subtle character for many years, it is important to care for them gently. Each metal and natural material has its own unique qualities, so proper wearing, storage, and cleaning will help your jewellery remain beautiful over time.
General Care Recommendations
Avoid contact with chemicals.
We recommend removing your jewellery before using perfume, creams, hairspray, cleaning products, or other chemical substances. These may affect the surface of the metal, stones, or pearls.
Do not wear jewellery while bathing or exercising.
Chlorinated or salty water, sweat, and moisture may cause metals to darken or damage more delicate details of the piece.
Protect from impact and scratches.
Jewellery pieces are delicate, so it is best to remove them when doing household chores, exercising, sleeping, or taking part in active activities.
Store separately.
We recommend keeping jewellery in a box or soft pouch, separately from other pieces. This helps prevent scratches, tangled chains, and surface wear.
Clean gently.
After wearing, the jewellery can be gently wiped with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth specially designed for jewellery care. This helps remove skin oils, dust, and traces of everyday wear.
Caring for Gold Jewellery
Gold is a long-lasting and precious metal, yet it still requires attentive care. To help gold jewellery preserve its glow, we recommend avoiding contact with chlorine, strong cleaning products, cosmetics, and perfumes.
Gold jewellery can be gently cleaned with a soft cloth. If the piece is not set with delicate stones or pearls, it may be briefly washed in lukewarm water with a very mild soap, then carefully dried with a soft fabric.
Jewellery with stones or fine details should be checked from time to time to ensure that the settings are secure and the stones are not loose. If you notice any changes, it is best to consult a jeweller.
Caring for Silver Jewellery
Silver is more sensitive to environmental factors and may naturally darken over time. This is a normal characteristic of the metal, caused by moisture, air, cosmetics, sweat, and other surrounding elements.
To help silver remain bright for as long as possible, store it in a dry place, separately from other jewellery. After wearing, we recommend wiping it with a soft cloth, and when needed, using a cleaning cloth specially designed for silver.
Avoid contact between silver jewellery and salty or chlorinated water, strong household chemicals, perfumes, and creams. If the piece has oxidised silver, a matte surface, or an artistic texture, it should not be rubbed harshly or cleaned with aggressive products, as this may alter the original surface finish.
Caring for Pearl Jewellery
Pearls are especially delicate and sensitive, so they require extra gentle care. They do not respond well to chemicals, strong moisture, perfumes, cosmetics, or sudden temperature changes.
Jewellery with pearls should be put on last — after applying cream, perfume, or styling your hair. After removing a pearl piece, it can be gently wiped with a soft, slightly damp cloth and left to dry naturally.
Pearls should not be cleaned with aggressive products, soaked in water, or rubbed with rough fabric. It is best to store them separately, in a soft pouch or box, to protect the surface from scratches.
Professional Renewal
If your jewellery has lost its shine over time, darkened, been damaged, or you would like to refresh its appearance, we recommend seeking professional care. With proper renewal, a jewellery piece can once again delight with its form, light, and story.
